February 22, 2006 — Nippon Express Co., Ltd. announced that it will be forming a joint venture company with three other companies, including Japan Post, All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.

The joint venture company, ANA&JP Express Co., Ltd. will be located in Minato-ku in the prefecture of Tokyo, and will be primarily involved in cargo transportation. ANA&JP Express Co., Ltd. is scheduled to be operational in August 2006.

All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. has 51.7% stake in the Tokyo-based joint venture company, while Japan Post has 33.3%, the Company has 10% and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has 5%. Japan Post principally offers mailing, postal savings and postal life insurance services.

All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. is engaged in the provision of air transportation services. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. specializes in overseas shipping, logistics and domestic shipping businesses.
